    Description

Presented is a fine lot of 3 American coin silver spoons.  One spoon has a
coffin end handle and is monogrammed SB.  It was probably made around 1810.
The second spoon has a pointed handle and is monogrammed LM.  This spoon was
possibly made by Huntington & Packard of Springfield, Massachusetts, active around
the 1810s and 1820s, although it appears to have been made earlier than the first quarter
of the 1800s.  The third spoon has a rounded handle and is monogrammed
with M over D·L.  This was usually to symbolize a marriage with the initial of
the couple’s newly joined last name over their first name initials.  This spoon
    was probably made around 1790.
One of the spoons is marked on the reverse with H & P as mentioned above.
The other two spoons are not marked.  Everything is tested and guaranteed to be
    900 purity, coin silver.
The condition is good.  The spoons have some surface wear commensurate with
age and light use, and there are a few dings here and there, particularly on the
bowl and the top of the handle of the third spoon with the marriage monogram.
This is minor.  There are no dents, no splits, no breaks, and no repairs.
The spoons are all between 5 and 5 5/8 inches long.
The combined weight is 31.9 grams or 1.1 ounces.
