    Offered for sale is a beautiful Coin Silver,
    Brite Cut
    "Butter
    Knife"
    in the pattern called
    "Leaf/Shell
    "
    manufactured by the John Polhamus starting in 1855.
    The Butter Knife is
    7 1/2"
    in length
    with a
    brite cut
    pattern on one side of the blade.
    The back side of the handle has
    the patent 1855 and the word coin. The Butter Knife has a set of period script initials on the cartouche. The knife is in very good, used condition with normal surface wear
    commensurate with the age of this piece and normal usage.
