Vintage 1950s Universal Pottery Oxford Ware Art Deco Pitcher with Lid Turquoise

Description

Unique turquoise blue, hinged-lid refrigerator pitcher from the 1950s.  Made by Universal Potteries, this is part of their Oxford Ware line which features sleek Art Deco lines and angles.  The lid is completely removable from the body of the pitcher and sits in groves near the top of the handle (not attached).  In good vintage condition, with no chips or cracks, but there are some faint scratches, a small flea bite, and a small area where the colored glaze is either missing or faint which stems from the manufacturing process.   Does not deter from the look or function of the piece.
Measurements: approx. 8" tall x 7.5" wide (spout to handle)
